2013 has been off to a slow start. There hasn't been much sewing around here because I am half-heartedly still working on my baby's Christmas stocking, it's been too cold to do anything but sit on the couch with a blanket and my boys, and I'm waiting on some business-y matters to settle for my shop. Also, the dolls who live in my sewing room are wearing their winter clothes and do not want to be undressed for fittings or photo shoots, and the dolls who live in Abby's room are carefully arranged in pajamas and various beds made of pillows and fleece blankets. They have been asleep for days . . .
But I'm getting bored (and tired of the Christmas stocking) so it's time to start sewing a little. I have some fun things planned for my shop, and there are a lot of patterns I want to use and review here on the blog. But I also want to get back to what got me excited about sewing doll clothes in the first place--sewing for our own dolls. While I LOVE sewing doll clothes for other people, it really is the most fun to sew things for me and Abby to play with. So 2013 is for our Kirsten doll. She has a fun little collection of things I've made and purchased, but she could use a few more items--including a paint job on her clothes trunk . . . Every little doll needs a trunk full of clothes, right?
